The SIMA (International Agri-Business Show) and SITEVI (International fruit, vegetables, viticulture, wine-making, olive farming Show) trade shows are run by the Agricultural Equipment industry, through Axema Promotion & Services, in partnership with the COMEXPOSIUM Group via their joint company EXPOSIMA. Axema plays an active role in the strategic reflection. The association provides its support and expertise in order to better respond to the changing requirements of exhibitors and visitors, in particular by taking part in the international development of the shows.
Axema is also a partner of the VINITECH trade show, organised by CEB (Congrès et Exposition de Bordeaux).
1. Promoting international trade shows
Axema Promotion & Services promotes SIMA and SITEVI during missions abroad, and takes part in reflections about the international development of these trade shows.
APS is involved in selecting the priority countries to be spotlighted and organises the international clubs of both shows in partnership with EXPOSIMA and BUSINESS France.
Axema takes part in the SIMA and SITEVI trade shows with three major objectives: keeping up with the core concerns of the industry; developing and promoting the Agricultural Equipment industry's image with the public; and attracting young people to the sector.
With 13,200 professional visitors from all over the Asean area, most sponsors of major agricultural projects, and 300 international exhibitors in a space of 10,000 m², the first SIMA ASEAN show was a great success. Held in Bangkok in September 2015, it took place in a positive business climate that bodes well for commercial development in South-East Asia. The next show will be held on 8 – 10 September 2016.
Alger will be the meeting place for Algeria's agricultural sector in 2016 with the first SIMA SIPSA trade show on 4 – 7 October 2016. With 600 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors expected, SIMA-SIPSA looks set to be the largest trade show devoted to livestock breeding and agricultural equipment in Algeria, with coverage extending over the whole of the Maghreb and Africa.
2. Biennale Axema: the meeting place for the Agricultural Equipment industry
Every two years, Axema organises the Biennale Axema. It welcomes its members, partner professional organisations, and economic players.
During the event, Axema presents the results of its economic report to the press. It brings professionals together for a round-table on a topic of current importance for the industry, accompanied by a guest speaker.
